Central Sterile Tech Supervisor
Location:
Flushing, NY 11355
Shift:
Mon–Fri (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm)
Duration:
13 weeks with a strong possibility of further extension
Pay range:
$40-47/hr
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD), ensuring proper decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
Lead, train, and schedule sterile processing technicians while monitoring performance and compliance with department standards.
Ensure adherence to AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and infection control regulations.
Oversee quality control, including biological indicators, chemical indicators, and sterilization documentation.
Coordinate instrument inventory, tray accuracy, and case readiness in collaboration with the OR team.
Requirements
Bachelor's or equivalent experience (required)
3 years experience in leadership
3 years experience as a technician in a major hospital institution
CRCST from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or CBSPD (required)
