Registered Nurse – PCU Oncology Registry (Banner Boswell)
Location: Sun City, Arizona. Department: Banner Staffing Services-AZ. Shift: Day. Category: Nursing.
Position: Registered Nurse – PCU Oncology Registry at Banner Health. This is an internal Registry/Per Diem opportunity that may occur as needed. Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefit package is offered.

This role follows the standard nursing practice framework, caring for patients in the Banner Boswell MS PCU Oncology Unit. The unit includes 22 private rooms, flexible to 42 semi‑private rooms, with up to 16 remote cardiac monitors centrally monitored.
Core responsibilities include:
Assessing patient needs across physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, and educational domains.
Formulating individualized care plans, including discharge plans, collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Implementing and coordinating the plan of care through direct care, delegation, and supervision of other licensed nurses and staff.
Evaluating patient progress, revising care plans, and documenting assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.
Providing evidence‑based care and participating in research, unit leadership, and professional development activities.
Contributing to improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes.
Performing supervisory duties as required.
Communicating patient status to all healthcare providers and supporting spiritual care when needed.
Minimum qualifications:
Current valid RN license in the state of practice or a temporary/interim or compact RN license applicable to the state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
One year of acute‑care hospital experience within the past 12 months in a relevant specialty, or experience as an RN in a physician practice or acute‑care setting.
Additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Professional certification.
Employment type: Part‑time. 2 shifts per month minimum (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.), with competitive hourly differentials for weekend and nighttime shifts.
