Penick Village Inc. Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is seeking a compassionate, professional and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. Our RN’s serve as a charge nurse role, leading the shift in providing nurturing direct care for the health of our residents.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Direct the day-to-day functions of the CNAs and Medication Technicians in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Ensure that the written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department are followed by all nursing personnel assigned.
Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
Ensure that the nursing personnel under your direction are following their respective job descriptions.
Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, studies, charting, etc. as necessary.
Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
Participate in the updating of the resident’s written discharge plan as required.
Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan as necessary.
Participate in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.
Periodically review the department’s policy & procedure manuals and make recommendations for revisions.
Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs and activities.
Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.
Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of residents as required.
Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office as required.
Perform charting and documentation according to facility policy and procedure manual.
Prepare, administer and document medication as ordered by physician and according to facility policy and procedure manual.
Function as an Assistant Responder for Independent Living residents.
Education
Current license as an RN in the state of North Carolina
