Sentara Home Care and Hospice Services in Newport News is hiring a Clinical Supervisor. Position Status: Full Time - Day Shift | Location: Newport News, VA | Salary Range: $69,742 - $116,251. We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care resources to meet dynamic clinical needs, leading a multidisciplinary team and supporting clinical staff and physicians. They play a key role in administrative decision‑making, staff development, program implementation, while ensuring high‑quality, efficient, and compassionate care across all areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and allocate patient care resources to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Supervise and support a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver high‑quality care.

Serve as a clinical and administrative resource for staff, physicians, and patients.

Make administrative decisions in collaboration with leadership regarding complex or sensitive situations.

Assist in the development and implementation of clinical programs, policies, and procedures.

Monitor compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.

Implement and support talent retention strategies within the team.

Promote and ensure excellent customer service delivery across all touchpoints.

Education & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required)

Certification/Licensure:

Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) RQI within 90 days of hire (required)

One of the following licenses is required:

Registered Nurse (RN) Multi‑State – North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

Registered Nurse (RN) Single‑State – North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

Registered Nurse (RN) Multi‑State – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

Registered Nurse (RN) Single‑State – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

Experience:

2 years of home health or infusion experience (required)

1 year of supervisory experience (required)
