Chaplain (Hospice)
Brookhaven Hospice is looking for a full‑time Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families as they navigate life’s most meaningful moments.

Hands‑on Clinical Onboarding Program
Responsibilities
Assess and address the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families as part of the interdisciplinary care plan.
Provide spiritual counseling, comfort, and guidance for individuals and families of all faiths and belief systems.
Offer grief and bereavement support throughout the hospice journey and following loss.
Collaborate with the Program Director and care team to coordinate spiritual care and ensure holistic, compassionate support.
Communicate effectively with hospice staff and community partners to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology, or appropriate certification in pastoral ministry if required by state.
Minimum two units of Clinical Pastoral Education if required by state (four units strongly preferred).
Minimum two (2) years experience as a healthcare pastor/chaplain. One year of hospice experience preferred.
Ability to handle stress associated with ministering to patients/residents and their loved ones who experience pain, suffering, death and grief.
Computer proficiency in typing and various programs, including background in EMR.
Possess and maintains current CPR certification if required by state.
Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.
$34.00 - $36.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). Compensation determined based on relevant experience and responsibilities. Final rate discussed at conclusion of interview process.
