Position Summary The medical laboratory technician-processor (MLT-Processor) covers duties in the Central Processing and/or Microbiology areas. The MLT-Processor performs specimen processing, manual test order entry, verification of laboratory test requisition entry, and customer service related duties. Participation in quality control, continuous quality improvement activities, inventory control, professional development, and continuing education within the area is also required.
Responsibilities
Specimen processing and manual test order entry.
Verification of laboratory test requisition entry and customer service related duties.
Participation in quality control and continuous quality improvement activities.
Inventory control and professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Certification or vocational training may be required.
Meets mandatory hospital education and health surveillance requirements.
Demonstrates competence annually in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
Location East Hospital – Main (0398)
Employment Type Intermittent
Hours & Shift Scheduled Hours: 0.2 – Varying Shifts
Background Check Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
