Position Summary
This position is responsible for spending the majority of their time supervising, communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work, and has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action.
Work You Will Do
Oversee the direct supervision of the Medicaid Waiver Unit for the Region, providing technical assistance and training to Qualified Organizations (QO), waiver support coordinators (WSCs), Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+), and service providers.
Assist individuals and families in accessing services, ensuring compliance with Medicaid requirements, conducting WSC case transfers, and supporting clients serving in the waiver program.
Participate in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of service programs for persons with developmental disabilities served through the Medicaid Waiver program.
Manage oversight of annual medical necessity reviews for all individuals served through the Medicaid waiver program for the Region and verify correct iBudget amount for each individual annually.
Provide technical assistance regarding programmatic and individual issues, interpret rules, policies and standards, and assist in interpreting Medicaid rules, procedures and requirements.
Direct the work of employees to insure maximum use of time and resources, ensuring assignments meet required timeframes and follow agency operating procedures.
Coordinate regional specific training and technical assistance for waiver support coordinators and provide feedback on provider scorecards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for work purposes.
Four years of related professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Use Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Use APD iConnect to complete business processes.
Methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data for monitoring and evaluating staff.
Strong English language skills, including grammar and composition.
Provide responsive customer service and work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Use tracking systems to monitor and complete work assignments within required timeframes.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and prepare reports.
Lead, supervise, and manage people.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Deal with the public in a tactful, courteous, and effective manner.
Analyze problems comprehensively and recommend solutions or changes quickly.
Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making.
Be flexible and prioritize workloads.

Salary Range $41,561.57 - $50,000.00 Annually ($1,598.52 - $1,923.07 Bi-weekly)
