Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a

Senior Lean Practitioner (Process Improvement)

to join our Strategy, Business Integration & Lean team to support Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) transformation in

San Antonio, TX . This role requires extensive Industrial Engineering expertise, strong Lean background and advanced capability in applying Boeing Production System (BPS) concepts, Lean methodologies, data analytics, and continuous improvement practices to improve flow, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability. This senior‑level position will help shape Boeing San Antonio’s culture of excellence, enabling flow improvements, defect reduction, workforce capability advancement, and alignment.

Position Responsibilities

Lead development and application of advanced Industrial Engineering methods in the MRO environment

Design and optimize production systems integrating facilities, tooling, personnel, and supply chain

Develop Value Stream Mappings, bottleneck analyses, and constraint‑based plans to improve aircraft flow

Improve turn‑time through sequencing, workflow, and standard operations optimization

Connect Lean principles, BPS, and Boeing Values into daily operational execution

Develop and deploy Lean strategies across MRO programs and support functions

Facilitate Lean workshops such as BPSM/RSPS, AIW, 3P, Kaizen, VSM

Develop systematic approaches to capture and replicate best practices

Lead creation of Lean tools tailored to complex MRO work environments

Coach leaders, frontline teams, and teammates on Lean methods and behaviors

Tailor training and messaging to different organizational audiences

Support LIFT cultural activation (Leadership, Integrity, Focus, Trust)

Serve as Lean SME during program reviews and operational meetings

Operationalize data analytics for flow improvements and quality reduction

Develop dashboards and models for cycle‑time, productivity, and performance metrics

Deliver executive‑level analysis and recommendations using IE principles

Lead cross‑functional teams involving Production Control, Quality, Tooling, Engineering, and Programs

Support facility modification planning and aircraft induction/exit optimization

Manage project lifecycles including planning, scheduling, execution, and closure

Support recovery planning and sitewide performance visibility efforts

Basic Qualifications

10+ years implementing Lean principles in production, MRO, or aerospace environments

10+ years facilitating Lean workshops (BPSM, AIW, 3P, Kaizen, VSM)

10+ years of experience with Industrial Engineering

5+ years of experience leading measurable value stream improvements

5+ years of project management experience

5+ years of experience developing executive‑level presentations

Effective time management, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)

Experience with the Boeing Production System (BPS)

Experience in MRO or complex aerospace environments.

Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Tableau or similar tools

Summary Starting Pay Range $132,600 - $156,000
