As a Post‑Procedure Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center, you will assess patient/family health problems, take a leadership role in developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan for nursing care, and provide professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patients. The position requires service to one or more age groups — from young adults through geriatric patients — and demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Responsibilities
Recognize and adapt to changes in patient condition (e.g., lab, vitals, signs, and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence‑based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
Organize and prioritize patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
Demonstrate accountability for own ethical behavior and support ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
Serve as an advocate for patient needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
AZ RN license or RN license from a Compact State.
American Heart Association BLS certification.
American Heart Association ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
BSN.
One year recent acute‑care experience.
One year PICC placement experience.
Location Phoenix, AZ.
Pay Range $35.00 - $58.63 per hour.
Benefits Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit‑eligible employees after 180 days. Full‑time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part‑time employees can receive up to $9,000.
