Job Description Participates in quality improvement activities and reports concerns regarding patient care quality. Recognizes signs of deterioration and escalates care appropriately. Actively involves and educates parents/caregivers in the child’s plan of care, fostering a trusting partnership. Adheres strictly to safety protocols, including medication administration checks, patient ID verification, and fall prevention practices. Other duties as assigned. Formulates, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans for patients based on identified needs and problems. Provides therapeutic nursing care according to established standards for neonates, children, and adolescents. Conducts physical assessments and identifies patient needs and problems within established time frames. Develops and documents nursing diagnoses and care plans based on initial assessments. Administers IVs, blood products, medications, and performs treatments according to nursing standards and protocols. Accurately processes and documents physicians' orders, including verbal and telephone orders. Ensures concise, legible, and timely documentation of patient responses to care. Delegates and coordinates nursing care activities based on staff qualifications and patient needs. Maintains a safe environment by following infection control policies, operating equipment safely, and ensuring emergency equipment availability. Identifies, documents, and addresses discharge planning and patient/family educational needs.
Qualifications
Associate’s of Nursing (Required)
Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS)
Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) (Required)
Registered Nurse (RN) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range $31.53 – $52.24
