Advocate Health Care . Purpose: Performs a variety of clerical, distributive, technical, and data gathering duties to provide medications to patients and support pharmacists and other technicians. Accountabilities: Dispenses and delivers medications accurately and timely; demonstrates competence in automated dispensing and storage devices; troubleshoots dispensing issues; prepares non-sterile and sterile products accurately and timely in accordance with USP standards; accurately enters medication orders and navigates electronic medical records; utilizes automation and technology to maintain equipment in safe working condition; serves as a resource for other pharmacy associates and nurses; addresses customer and team member concerns accurately and timely; triages phone calls from customers such as nurses, physicians, or patients; assists in training and shares knowledge with pharmacy team members, residents, and students; actively supports and participates in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, department committees, and shared governance activities; complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards (e.g., controlled substance procedures, USP procedures, DNV requirements). Position Requirements: High School Graduate; 1 year of experience; good mathematics skills; attention to detail; excellent communication skills. Base pay range: $21.45/hr – $32.20/hr. Location: Park Ridge, IL. Seniority level
