Applicants must have an unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse will plan, coordinate, provide, and manage nursing care, services, and health education for our residents.
These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities may include:
Supervise care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring all assigned staff can provide appropriate care.
Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
Perform nursing assessments regarding residents’ health status, notify the physician of changes, and promptly implement and document new orders.
Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implement nursing care.
Select and institute appropriate interventions to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
