Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience) with a possibility of a sign-on bonus

This position will be in the SPRING location.

Hours/Benefits This position would be working at any of our three offices (Spring, Woodlands or Montgomery). Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, MUST BE FLEXIBLE, shifts can vary from 8-5, 9-6, 10-7. Shifts could be 4 week days and Saturday, with 1 day off during the week. 40 hours per week.

Job Summary Responsible for examining, evaluating, diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and providing prognoses for patients on an individual basis. Through the modalities of exercise, mobilization, manipulation, heat, cold, and electrical stimulation, physical therapists work to restore function, improve mobility, and decrease pain with the goal of re-establishing a patient's prior functional level. Orthopedic physical therapists diagnose, manage, and treat disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system as well as rehabilitate patients after orthopedic surgery. They are trained in the treatment of postoperative joints, acute sports injuries, arthritis, and many other musculoskeletal system disorders.

Essential Duties

Provide educational information about physical therapy and physical therapists, injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote health.

Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.

Focus on the evaluation of strength, balance, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and posture of each patient.

Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.

Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

Administer manual exercises, massage and/or traction to help relieve pain, increase the patient's strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling.

Identifies physical, social, and psychological needs of the patient

Requirements

Bachelor, Master, and/or Doctorate degree in physical therapy from an accredited university/program required

Active Physical Therapy Licensure of PT and OT Examiners in the State of Texas

CPR Certified

Knowledge of EMR systems
