Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Position Type: Travel (13‑week assignment)
Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing – Cath Lab seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina. You will support the interventional radiology team performing minimally invasive procedures in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
Assist physicians by scrubbing in, maintaining a sterile field, and passing instruments.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
Maintain radiation safety standards and troubleshoot equipment.
Manage procedural supplies and collaborate with the interventional radiologist, nurses, and other team members.
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols; provide patient education.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum one year recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Valid Radiologic Technologist license in the state.
PALS or ENPC certification.
Other relevant certifications.
