Overview
Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing sonographic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data under the direction of the Medical Director.
Responsibilities
Operates ultrasound unit.
Assists with invasive procedures using ultrasound guidance.
Communicates with the multidisciplinary clinical team on technical aspects of patient care.
Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
Provides excellent customer service for patients/families/representatives and other members of the treatment team.
Performs ultrasound evaluations in accordance with AIUM protocols and departmental standards.
Evaluates images/findings to rule out abnormalities and communicates findings according to departmental standards.
Qualifications
Experience: 2 years specialized training required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Certification: Certificate Vocational Training; Graduate of Ultrasound Certificate Program required.
One year clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
ARDMS Certified required at time of hire.
Travel: Up to 10%.
Additional duties: As assigned; may vary.
