The Physician Contracting Officer plays a critical role in developing and implementing standardized form contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable health care regulations, maintaining fair market value FMV standards, and streamlining the end-to-end contracting process to support the organization's strategic and operational objectives. Qualifications

Bachelors degree required, JD or Master s in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and diligent attention to detail required Proficient with relevant software critical to the job function contract management software and Excel A track record of success working in an environment of collaboration, transparency, mutual respect, and shared passion for excellence and innovation The ability to plan, organize, prioritize, allocate resources, and manage multiple ongoing, concurrent projects Preferred

3-5 years experience in physician contracting Essential Functions

Review and approve physician arrangement terms and fair market value FMV analyses for accuracy and compliance with Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and internal policies Ensure consistency, legal sufficiency, and alignment with RWJBarnabas Health s strategic goals and operational standard Monitor changes in federal and state laws, regulations, and industry guidance related to physician arrangements, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, IRS rules, and CMS requirements Collaborate with legal, compliance, physician leadership, and finance teams to create templates that reflect current laws, regulations, and industry best practices Lead initiatives to improve the physician contracting lifecycle, reduce turnaround times, and enhance transparency and accountability Liaise with internal and external valuation consultants as needed to ensure compensation arrangements remain defensible and compliant Other Duties
