Nurse (Clinical/Comm-Occupational Health) Defense Health Agency is seeking a qualified Nurse to serve at Blanchfield Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Tennessee.

Location Fort Campbell – a major military installation on the Kentucky‑Tennessee border that supports the 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces Group, and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with health care providers to ensure continuity of care through referrals and follow‑up.

Assist in the development and updating of occupational health nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.

Conduct physical examinations and assess patients for health screening and monitoring.

Provide full‑range emergency services or crisis intervention in the absence of a physician or physician assistant.

Administer medications and treatments authorized by a physician or physician assistant.

Basic Requirements for Nurse (Clinical/Community‑Occupational Health)

Graduate or higher level degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program.

Program accreditation must reflect the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or another body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at time of graduation.

Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory; must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination.

Foreign degree holders must possess official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools.

Additional Qualification Requirements

Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience (GS‑9 level or above). Experience must include health education counseling and lectures, policy updates, health screenings, and administration of physician‑authorized medications and treatments.

OR a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field.
