Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg department and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. This PRN position supports our nursing staff during busy periods, providing compassionate care and collaborating with medical providers and the care team.
Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient‑centered care in an acute care setting. You will collaborate with providers and the care team, following established nursing models and advocating for patients, families, and caregivers.
Responsibilities
Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
Perform procedures and monitoring functions as ordered, ensuring thorough documentation.
Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and act appropriately to any unintended responses.
Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures.
Qualifications
Licensed Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact license with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
RN diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
Previous experience in acute care strongly preferred.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Strong critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication skills, and PC proficiency.
