Job Description The Interventional Radiology Radiologic Technologist will perform radiologic imaging with a focus on patient care in neurosurgery/neuroscience. The position requires collaboration with the radiology team to ensure high‑quality diagnostic images and patient safety.
Responsibilities
Select exposure factors and position patients to produce high‑quality radiologic images.
Assist the radiologist during procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
Administer oral contrast as needed for examinations.
Ensure the timely completion of all assigned procedures while aiding colleagues in various departmental tasks.
Maintain medication security and confidentiality in patient care.
Demonstrate proficiency in hospital information systems, radiology information systems, and PACS.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Two (2) years of experience in a Radiologic Technologist role.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Current New York State Technician License.
Experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience is required.
AART certification is required; VIR certification is a plus.
