Are you eager to enhance patient care? In the role of a Radiologic Technologist, you will be essential in supporting physicians in diagnosing various medical conditions and injuries. Working under the supervision of our Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, you will utilize state-of-the-art radiographic technology to generate high-quality images that assist in patient evaluations. Your Responsibilities
Conduct both specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures. Deliver empathetic care by clearly explaining procedures to patients, helping to alleviate their concerns. Prepare and position patients for imaging, prioritizing their comfort and safety. Adjust immobilization devices to achieve the best possible views as directed by physicians. Assess exposure factors based on individual patient needs to ensure precise imaging. Operate mobile radiologic equipment in diverse environments, including operating and emergency rooms. Support radiologists during fluoroscopic and specialized x-ray examinations. Process and prepare images for evaluation by radiologists or referring physicians. Maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Implement radiation safety measures to protect both patients and staff. Train and mentor new employees and students, sharing your knowledge with future professionals. Step in as needed when the Supervising Radiology Technologist is unavailable. Carry out other related tasks as required. Qualifications We Seek
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications : Experience : At least five (5) years of experience as a radiologic technologist. Education : High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Licenses & Certifications :
Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California) Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California) Basic Life Support Certification
Additional Requirements :
California Venipuncture Certificate and Mammography Certificate (if applicable).
Capability to perform general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic tasks for all age groups. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Willingness to work within a Labor Management Partnership framework. Working Environment
