The Animal Health Organization is a mission-driven veterinary hospital dedicated to providing affordable, quality care to pets and their families. Our programs include comprehensive veterinary medical services such as spay/neuter, preventative care, surgery, and more to ensure every animal receives the care they need. The organization also leads innovative initiatives such as Trap‑Alter‑Return (TARP) to address feral cat overpopulation, shelter diversion to keep pets with their families, and community outreach to support low‑income or homeless pet owners.
Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Veterinarian specializing in High‑Quality, High‑Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN), located in Reynoldsburg, OH. The Veterinarian will perform spay/neuter surgeries, deliver preventative care, and provide general and emergency veterinary treatment to patients. They will ensure proper health assessments, administer vaccinations, and make recommendations for post‑operative care. Additionally, the Veterinarian will collaborate with the shelter diversion, TARP, and rescue/adoption teams to improve animal well‑being, support community members, and advocate for public animal welfare education. Qualifications
Proficiency in performing High‑Quality, High‑Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN) surgeries and veterinary surgical skills Strong knowledge of preventative medicine, diagnostics, animal behavior, and emergency veterinary care Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client education skills Compassionate approach to working with animals and dedication to improving animal welfare DVM or equivalent, with a valid veterinary license in good standing in the state of Ohio Experience with shelter medicine or community‑focused veterinary care is advantageous Seniority level
