Clinical Research Assistant I, Neurology Join UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas‑Fort Worth to work on clinical research studies in the Neurology Department. The Clinical Research Assistant I will recruit Mandarin‑speaking older adults from an affordable housing community for a pilot group intervention study that addresses loneliness and prevents cognitive decline. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.

Job Summary Works under the direction of an Investigator with general supervision to primarily provide ongoing data management for local and national research studies. May coordinate observational (non‑treatment) studies and assist with study protocols, data queries, and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

Enter data into case report forms or other data collection systems based on research study requirements.

Assist with maintenance of study level documentation and data integrity.

Compile data for regulatory requirements and deadlines for local or sponsor submissions.

Maintain existing databases and ensures data integrity.

Understand visit schedules, protocol requirements for routine and low complexity trials and schedule research visits.

Assist research staff by completing research protocol related tasks.

Recruit and enroll patients in research study and consent patients after training and with supervision.

Assist with ordering and maintaining research supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order.

Assist with preparing studies for closeout and performing study procedures such as phlebotomy, vital signs, and EKGs as required for the study.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Fluency in both English and Mandarin (speaking, writing, understanding) required.

BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification may be required based on study protocols; basic CPR and AED certification preferred.

Experience with data management, research protocols, or clinical research experience is preferred.
