Location: Nashville, TN - Antioch, TN - Hermitage, TN Full-Time and Part-Time positions available. Shift: Monday through Friday, Hours Vary Flexible Schedule. Pay: $15.68 per hour. Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $15.00/hr. Referral Bonus: $300 after 90 days of hiring (must list your name on the application). Overview

Caregiver is a Texas-based provider of services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We support clients with personalized treatment plans to help them lead their best lives. We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team! Essential Responsibilities / Job Duties

Facilitate consumers in daily living activities including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping, social skills, and community access. Provide direct support and assist consumers in training activities as specified in ISPs and activity schedules. Aid in mobility as needed for those using wheelchairs and other assistive devices. Assist in bedroom maintenance and teach housekeeping skills and care of clothing. Assist with meal service, teach dining skills and promote social skills and personal dignity during meals. Administer medications and treatments according to company policy. Serve as a Primary Person (P2) for one or more consumers, ensuring their wellbeing at all times. Attend and successfully complete in‑service training sessions as scheduled. Serve as a role model and mentor to fellow Direct Support Professionals. Complete data collection, observation notes, and daily reports as directed by agency policy and procedure. Assist consumers in transportation as needed. Participate as a member of the Individual Support Team, giving input toward the consumer’s ISP. Monitor consumers’ activities to ensure safety and health care practices are observed, including Universal Precaution Practices. Participate in, and may be responsible for, the daily operation of the home in areas such as grocery shopping, overseeing consumers’ money, monitoring the physical plant and van maintenance, or monitoring house medications. Perform related duties as required or assigned to fulfill the agency philosophy and program site goals. Treat consumers with dignity and respect. Promote independence, choice, and empowerment of consumers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school education or its equivalent is preferred. Previous experience supporting or assisting those with disabilities is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Successful completion of criminal background checks as required by federal and/or state laws and any other post‑offer, pre‑employment screenings mandated by a governing agency or the company.
