Job Summary & Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the oncology department. You will collaborate with medical providers, exhibit the "Assess, Perform, Teach, Manage" nursing model, and advocate for patients and families, embodying the organization’s vision and values to ensure outstanding patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
What You Will Do
Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, promptly reporting any changes. Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered, documenting care administration promptly and accurately. Administer medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and address unintended reactions. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about their conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into understandable language.
Qualifications
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or active multistate nursing licensure. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN desired. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC); Oncology Nursing certification desired. One or more years of acute RN experience desired.
