Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologists and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state‑of‑the‑art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in the treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions. Job Description
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other IV infusions following established protocols. Monitor patients during and after treatments for adverse reactions or side effects and take appropriate action when necessary. Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, side effects, and self‑care strategies. Perform patient assessments and vital sign monitoring before, during, and after treatments. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff to develop and adjust individualized care plans. Coordinate scheduling for treatments, follow‑ups, and lab work. Manage electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accurate documentation of all treatments, assessments, and interactions. Assist with procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, port flushes, and central line care. Support patients and families emotionally through all phases of treatment. Travel to satellite locations and float to other offices as needed. Seniority Level
