Job Summary The diagnostic medical sonographer is responsible for providing patient care and technical expertise in the operation of imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging purposes.
Education & Licensure
Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program; ARDMS or ARRT registered.
High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Sonography.
Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support from a hospital‑based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
Work Experience
One year ultrasound experience or graduate of an ultrasound training program with a minimum of 3000 clinical hours of ultrasound training.
Equipment Operated
Ultrasound unit and associated peripheral equipment, Trophon2 disinfection unit.
Special Requirements
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact).
Proficiencies: Personal computer.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical Abilities, Mathematics, Other Knowledge skills or Abilities.
Work Schedule
Flexible, On‑Call, Weekends.
