Job Responsibilities To work on an as needed basis when the regular school nurse is absent. This position is on an as needed basis and is non-benefit eligible.
Qualifications
Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in Wyoming
Registered Nurse with a Two-year (Associate's) or Four-year (Bachelor's) degree, from an accredited college or university
Some coursework and/or experience in education preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Mental Ability
Ability to work with various personality types
Sound emotional judgment
Visual acuity, aided or non-aided, to read and interpret accurately written reports of a technical nature
Ability to enunciate clearly and communicate positively throughout the work day
Ability to follow and successfully complete both written and oral directions
Ability to calculate accurately
Knowledge of basic computer commands to run software related to word processing and administrative/instructional applications on a personal computer
Physical Demands
Visual acuity and stamina to work at a computer monitor for at least a reasonable part of the day
Sufficient strength to lift boxes or equipment that may weigh as much as fifty (50) pounds and be able to move them as far as fifty feet (50')
Sufficient strength and stamina to remain seated for periods as long as two (2) hours without fatigue or discomfort
Sufficient strength and stamina to remain standing for periods as long as two (2) hours without fatigue or discomfort
Sufficient strength and stamina to remain in a squatting position for a reasonable period of time during the school day without fatigue or discomfort
Environmental Demands
Ability to work in air conditioned and non-air conditioned buildings
Frequent exposure to various supplies containing hazardous materials or chemicals
Occasional exposure to weather extremes
Occupationally exposed to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials
