Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU position requiring BLS, PALS, and CVICU experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a specialized 8-bed pediatric CVICU connected to a 14-bed PICU
Care for pediatric cardiac patients both pre- and post-operatively
Shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM with 36 hours per week
Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
On-call responsibilities are expected
Floating required to PICU, pediatric, and NICU units
Collaborate closely with surgical and intensivist teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate surgical case load is required
Team-oriented environment with support from experienced pediatric critical care staff
Holiday coverage required as scheduled
COVID vaccination is no longer a requirement for this assignment
Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
Candidates should only apply to one position within the health system at a time
Requirements
Active RN license required
Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
BLS and PALS certifications from AHA required
NRP certification (AHA/AAP) required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
License and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address
