Day Shift Summary:
The Registered Nurse facilitates relationship-centered, compassionate, quality care to patients through competent clinical practice and the application of the healing art and science of professional nursing. Preparation of patients before endoscopy procedure. Instruct patients about at-home prep for endoscopy procedures. Assist the physician during various endoscopy procedures. Provide nurse sedation during a procedure. Post-operative management and discharge of patients in the endoscopy unit. Clean endoscopes according to manufacturer instructions. What you will need:
Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program. Associate's degree in nursing required, BSN preferred. If ADN, must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire. Licensed in the State of Michigan. Current BLS. RN experience in a health care setting. Experience in an acute health care setting preferred (Endoscopy or critical care). What you will work:
