What will you do as a PMCNurse Supervisor The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating daily operations within an assigned clinic/department to ensure quality patient care. The role includes providing direct patient care and supporting clinical staff as needed.

A day in the life of a PMC Nurse Supervisor may include:

Plans, organizes and supervises nursing duties and provides leadership in compliance with governmental, accreditation, and other regulations, and with the policies set forth by Pinehurst Medical Clinic.

Assists in the selection, training, monitoring, and evaluation of the departmental staff.

Supervises RN, LPN, CMA, or any other supportive staff.

Participates in nursing care related to assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients’ health and wellness.

Monitors and tracks all medications and medical supplies and equipment.

Works within scope of license, develops and implements nursing plan of care for patients, and communicates the plan of care to patients as prescribed by physician.

Obtains, reviews, verifies, and/or completes health care forms related to home health care, referrals, medical equipment, and other patient/physician needs as appropriate.

Helps maintain patient flow and workflow, working collaboratively as a team member of the clinic staff to provide high quality and efficient service to patients.

Recognizes patient rights and provides for confidentiality of patient information and dignity through own performance and in relationships with others.

Collaborates with other disciplines, promotes and supports research activities, and utilizes available resources to improve patient care.

Participates in medical staff meetings as required.

Participates in quality improvement team efforts, including meetings to discuss quality assurance improvement initiatives.

Observes patients and reports changes in patients’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and takes any necessary action.

Measures and records patients’ vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).

Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods; identifies and/or communicates any safety issues for the clinical equipment and building, and follows up to ensure completion.

Maintains patient areas and working spaces in a clean, neat, and orderly manner; monitors use of supplies/medications, restocks as necessary, and informs appropriate persons of additional supply needs.

This position may be assigned to special projects or accountabilities when other priorities are identified.

Performs other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.

BLS/CPR certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of clinical/ambulatory nursing experience preferred.

Two or more years’ experience in a nursing supervisor or manager role preferred.

Shift:

Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays

Pay Type:

Hourly (Non‑Exempt)
