Job Description Radiology Technologist – PRN Float Pool
Location: Utah Valley Clinic | Intermountain Health
Status: PRN (as needed)
Shift: Varied
Pay Range: $29.14 – $44.94/hour (dependent upon experience)

Position Overview This PRN Float Pool position provides coverage for multiple clinics in the Canyons South Market, including Utah County, Park City, and Heber. While Utah Valley Clinic is the home base, travel between clinics is required, and mileage reimbursement may apply.
Key Details
Scheduled Hours: PRN or as needed
Shift: Hours vary based on clinic needs
Training: Must be completed within 4 weeks; PRN caregivers work at least 4 shifts per month
Float Pool Coverage: Clinics open as early as 6:30 AM and as late as midnight (InstaCare)
Shifts: Typically 8–12 hours; full shift coverage required
Additional Duties: InstaCare Rad Techs also assist as modified Medical Assistants; MA Foundations training provided if needed
Essential Functions
Maintain ARRT competency and perform exams per protocol
Ensure accurate patient identification and order verification
Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards
Review images for quality and accuracy
Provide patient education and comfort
Assist students and peers with protocols and positioning
Operate imaging equipment and maintain accurate records
Follow protocols for coding, charging, consents, and QC programs
Minimum Qualifications
ARRT(R) Certification
Radiologic Technologist License (State Issuing Authority)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Ability to complete MA Competency Checklist and assist in clinic settings
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years radiology experience
IV Certification
