Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN
St. David’s Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered respiratory care. Responsibilities
Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure; conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory therapy needs and responses.
Administer respiratory care therapies: oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy.
Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers; intervene appropriately in response to unintended events.
Assist with transportation of ventilator‑dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or certified Respiratory Therapist (RCP) in the relevant state.
Associate, Bachelor’s, or higher degree in respiratory therapy or related field.
