Summary of Job Duties This posting will be used to fill multiple positions. The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) works under physician direction and under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager. The CRT is a professional who works within the limits of their license and credentials, adhering to institutional and departmental policies, procedures, and standards. The CRT is required to provide quality patient care, promote a healthy work environment, and project a positive image for the UAMS Medical Center.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma plus 2 years direct respiratory care experience OR an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care.

Applicant must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).

Applicant must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory care.

ACCS, NPS, ACLS.

Sign‑on Bonus 10K Sign‑on Bonus is available.

Responsibilities

Performs routine respiratory care procedures including, but not limited to: updrafts, metered dose inhalers (MDI), chest physiotherapy (CPT), arterial blood gases (ABG), incentive spirometry, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV), patient education, mechanical ventilator setup and management.

Assists in codes and rapid responses.

Enters patient treatment notes in e‑chart system and/place documentation in patient charts.

Calls for, or physically moves, equipment and medical supplies needed into the assigned work areas.

Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
