IEH Laboratories, a leader in food safety, is now accepting applications for a Microbiologist – Graveyard Shift position at its facility in Modesto, CA. Qualifications
A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (required) Proficiency with data entry and computer applications Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory Responsibilities
Microbiologist duties include: Analysis of food samples for pathogens via PCR and immunoassay Various microbe enumerations Data entry and laboratory reporting Quality control, media preparation, and other duties as assigned The pay rate for this position is $22.00 hourly (plus $2/hour night shift differential). The role is full‑time, with a brief waiting period before eligibility for benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long‑ and short‑term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and a 401(k) with up to 3 % employer match after meeting eligibility criteria. The shift runs Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:00 am to 8:30 am.
