Job Description
Under the supervision of the School Therapy Manager and clinical practice guidance of the psychiatrist, the school clinical counselor provides assessment, counseling, education, and safety planning for all patients consulted. The counselor works in collaboration with the clinical team and school team to meet the behavioral health needs of the patient. The position identifies treatment needs and risk factors that the patient may experience and applies interventions and skill building techniques. This position will be a hybrid model including both in person and telehealth therapy.

Collaborate with clinical and school teams to meet behavioral health needs of students.
Identify treatment needs and risk factors; implement interventions and skill‑building techniques.
Deliver services in both in‑person and telehealth formats.
Qualifications
Master's degree in social work or social welfare accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or related degree.
Licensed as Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Counselor – Independent (LPC).
Three years post‑graduate professional social work experience.
MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners; LPC under South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Ability to collaborate positively with medical professionals.
Education & Credentials Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Credential: MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Certification in case management preferred.
