Trauma Registrar
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an experienced Trauma Registrar for our ED Trauma Department.
Location Virginia Beach, VA
Work Shift Full Time, 40 hrs, Days (First/Days)
Job Description
Prepares spreadsheets, reports, lists, and matrixes for use in operations of department.
Reviews confidential, statistical data for accuracy and safeguards all confidential facts and figures at all times.
Education
High school diploma required; graduate of a Health Information Management (HIM) program highly preferred.
Certification / Licensure
CSTR or CAISS certification preferred – expected to acquire within 3 years.
Experience
HIM trained with trauma registrar experience.
Experience with Epic and ICD coding.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
At least 3 years of relevant experience required.
