Location: The Dalles, OR
Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing
Pay: $2,253 to $2,396 per week
Shift: Nights – 5 days x 8 hours
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 1/12/2026
About The Position Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in The Dalles, Oregon. The role involves providing comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit.
Required Qualifications
At least one year of recent experience as an ICU RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
Preferred Qualifications
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
TNCC, NIHSS certification
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition
Administer complex medications and treatments per approved critical care nursing techniques
Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment
Ensure patient safety and comfort in a high‑acuity environment
Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying appropriate provider of changes in patient status
Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters
Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
Provide education to patients and families about ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
Communicate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training
Adhere to strict infection control protocols
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned within scope
Follow hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficient reading, writing, and English language communication
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
Physical abilities – stationary position, moving equipment 50‑100 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending
Interpersonal skills – work effectively with diverse personnel
Technical/motor skills – fine manipulation and movement during procedures
Mental resilience – manage high‑pressure environments and irregular activity schedules
Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication
