We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sleep Lab Tech‑RPSGT to join our team at Medical West, UAB. As a Sleep Lab Tech‑RPSGT, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies, analyzing results, and providing accurate reports to physicians. You will also maintain and calibrate equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines. Your work will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, improving the quality of life for our patients.
Minimum Qualifications
Current RPSGT certification in good standing
Graduate from a Polysomnography program or a minimum of 6 months of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist with documented proficiency in all required competencies
Experience conducting sleep studies and analyzing results
Knowledge of sleep disorders and treatment options
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills or willingness to learn data input and order entry information
BLS required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire date
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Polysomnography or related field
Experience with multiple sleep testing devices
Experience with electronic medical records systems
Responsibilities
