Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong specialty experience and TX or compact RN license for a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Position located in a hospital‑based Operating Room
Handles cases in general, neuro, ortho, trauma, and robotics
Works a hybrid rotating schedule, alternating between 6:30am‑5:00pm and 10:30am‑9:00pm (4x10 hour shifts)
Call and holiday coverage is required
Fast‑paced and high‑acuity surgical setting
Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in a variety of complex surgical specialties
Must be able to adapt to evolving case mix and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical team
Holiday and call coverage are expected and will be assigned as part of the role
Requirements
Active TX or compact state RN license
Five years of OR RN experience preferred; strong specialty experience will be considered
Experience in general, neuro, ortho, trauma, or robotics surgery required
Current required certifications must be maintained and available
Two references from supervisors within the past three years of employment
