to fill a 13‑week travel assignment for an experienced ER/Trauma RN at a facility in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Location:
Saratoga Springs, NY.
Pay:
$2,052 – $2,183 per week.
Shift:
Nights, 3 days × 12 hours.
Start Date:
ASAP.
About the Position Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN to provide rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department. The RN will assess patient conditions, implement urgent care plans, administer life‑saving treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient‑centered care.
Responsibilities
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved protocols.
Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs.
Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice.
Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations to prevent complications.
Respond to life‑saving situations based on emergency nursing standards, policies and procedures.
Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR).
Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, considering the acute nature of care.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers and other support staff.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as an ER RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications.
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel.
Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and assisting with procedures.
Mental resilience to handle frequent public contact, deadlines under pressure, and irregular schedules.
Sensory acuity for effective communication.
