Assignment Length:
13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
Shift:
12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week:

Schedule:
Every other weekend required

Scrubs (Galaxy Blue, Red, Black)
Estimated Weekly Pay:
$1530 - $1640
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or related clinical setting
BLS and ALS certifications (American Heart Association)
EKG Interpretation certification
Clinical experience with post‑op CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations
Proficiency in cardiac drips/titrations and electrolyte replacement
Experience managing chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR Bands
Strong communication, teamwork, and responsiveness skills
Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including post‑op CABG and vascular cases
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, manage electrolyte replacement, and perform EKG interpretation
Manage chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR Bands
Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
Float to other nursing units as needed per facility policy
Enhance patient experience through effective pain management, communication, and responsiveness
