Villa Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Liaison who will establish patients’ eligibility for care, communicate with families, and interact with a wide range of staff members. As a licensed professional, the Clinical Liaison coordinates with admission coordinators, case managers, and physicians to ensure the highest level of care.

Clinical Liaison Duties and Responsibilities

Identify, contact, and manage potential clients.

Provide a smooth transition for incoming guests, troubleshoot, and advocate for patients.

Facilitate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

Assess and review medical records to determine eligibility.

Assist patients and families through the admissions and referral process.

Communicate with case managers and physicians, manage insurance precertification, provide marketing to healthcare providers, and maintain relationships.

Adhere to compliance and ethics standards, striving to maintain compliance in all areas including, but not limited to HIPAA, confidentiality, financials and clinical practice.

All other duties as assigned.

Clinical Liaison Qualifications and Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to convey information accurately to both internal and external parties.

Broad medical competency and understanding of insurance practices.

Basic-advanced computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.

Travel up to 10%.

Clinical Liaison Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in nursing or therapy required.

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, healthcare administration, nursing, or related field strongly preferred.

Clinical license preferred; Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), Respiratory Therapist (RT). Non‑clinical professionals may be considered for the Hospital Liaison role.

Minimum of two years of former healthcare sales experience strongly preferred.

Extensive healthcare sales work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Former sales training preferred.

Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, and the ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices.
