Location: Lakeland Highlands Hospital, Lakeland, FL – 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road

Overview The Supervisor of Imaging Services monitors daily operations of patient and staff workflow to ensure high-quality patient care and directly supervises imaging personnel.

Responsibilities
Direct the work of technologists and support staff to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracy to achieve high quality care.
Establish and assess staffing patterns that support excellent customer service.
Ensure images meet established Quality Control standards.
Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Exercise professional judgment and maintain a professional demeanor.
Communicate and interact closely with scheduling department, physicians, and radiologists to ensure optimal patient/staff flow and resolve patient care issues.
Compile, monitor, and analyze data for critical success factors, Joint Commission, and budget variance reports.
Work with other department supervisors and staff to continually improve patient care (task forces, focus studies, PI teams, steering committees). Perform PI initiatives and process flow changes as directed.
Administer emergency medical aid as needed (e.g., contrast reaction, other emergencies).
Utilize corporate imaging computer systems effectively and accurately.
Conduct staff orientation.
Facilitate monthly staff and lead meetings.
Provide in-services, training, and education to team members.
Serve as a resource for students and faculty members of affiliated imaging programs.
Ensure safety of all customers.
Manage personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
Adhere to Orlando Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives.
Maintain punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and federal, state, and local standards.
Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.
Other Related Functions
Evaluate time entry for accuracy/completeness.
Monitor radiology systems to ensure appropriate use, accuracy, and completion of tasks.
Maintain a cooperative work environment.
Maintain inventory for the section.
Monitor compliance for license, registry, and mandatory education of technologists.
Assist with patient care as necessary to ensure quality customer satisfaction.
Qualifications Education / Training
Associate’s degree required.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure / Certification
Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida AND valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
OR valid American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) AND maintains current BLS/Health Care Provider certification.
Experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Radiology or a Radiology Specialty (e.g., MRI, Sonography, CT).
