Physical Therapist Aide
We are looking to hire a part‑time Therapy Aide to facilitate patient care from check‑in to treatment completion. The aide helps create a clean, welcoming environment that encourages patient compliance and positions Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists (ORS) as the preferred physical therapy choice.
Responsibilities
Maintain a positive ORS team attitude.
Greet patients pleasantly, using names and eye contact, and inquire about their pain level to report to the PT or PTA.
Maintain patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Constantly check the lobby for patients arriving for appointments.
Be visible and accessible to PTs, PTAs, and patients.
Set up modalities and exercises such as electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, Biodex, paraffin, cryotherapy, traction, iontophoresis, and hot packs.
Change linens and clean tables in gym and booths.
Check on patients who appear idle to ensure timely treatment progression.
Perform daily cleaning duties as assigned on a daily cleaning sheet.
Assist in washing, drying, and folding linens.
Perform opening/closing duties per the schedule.
Conduct snow removal and salting as needed.
Keep the clinic running smoothly and maintain a clean appearance.
Ensure supplies are stocked.
Qualifications
Ability to listen and follow verbal direction.
Ability to communicate information to patients and coworkers.
