About The Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Prime Staffing to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Abilene, Texas.
Specialty: RN – Pre-Operative (Pre‑Op)
Experience: 1–2 years of recent pre‑op or peri‑operative nursing experience preferred
License: Active State or Compact RN License
Certifications: BLS – AHA; ACLS preferred
Must‑Have: Strong assessment skills, ability to educate patients before procedures, and effective communication with surgical teams
Responsibilities The Pre‑Op RN is responsible for preparing patients for surgery by:
Conducting thorough assessments
Verifying pre‑surgical instructions
Initiating IVs and administering medications
Coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and readiness
Requirements
Active RN License
BLS
ACLS (preferred)
