Description We are seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and ensure all patients receive high‑quality, efficient care in a medical‑surgical environment at HCA Florida South Shore Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services.
What you will do in this role:
You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
You will maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results.
You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
What qualifications you will need:
Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or holds an appropriate compact license. If holding a compact license, an active FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
Diploma or ASN in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions, and basic PC skills.
