Regulatory Accountant will prepare royalty and severance tax reporting for EOG reporting States. This accountant will be responsible for North Dakota Severance Tax and Royalty reporting, as well as reporting to other States as needed. Ability to research and analyze royalty and severance tax reports and communicate data results.
Responsibilities
Audit and data compliance for the Regulatory accounting team
File monthly EOG Resources reports, file corrected reports, volume and price reconciliations and analysis
Effectively communicate with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with government regulations
Reconcile royalty payable accounts monthly; test system enhancements and conversions; work on special projects as needed
Assistance with ONRR may be required as workload changes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting desired; Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution in an accounting related business field (e.g., Finance) would be considered
CPA a plus, 3+ years of regulatory reporting experience or audit
Familiarity with Plant Processing or Oil and Gas Revenue accounting experience a plus
Working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient in MS Excel and/or SQL
Ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely
Sound analytical ability; must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others
Must be able to perform most assignments independently with minimal supervision
