Civil Estimator Location:

Windsor, CO (Hybrid eligible)

Salary:

$85,000 – $115,000 depending on experience

Civil Estimator

to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to grow with a company that is in a strong growth pattern.

Position Summary The Civil Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil construction projects, including earthwork, utilities, roadways, and site development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting the project team in winning work and ensuring profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including takeoffs and pricing

Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates

Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other estimators to ensure accuracy and competitiveness

Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed

Track historical cost data to improve accuracy of future estimates

Support project handoff and coordination with operations team

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Agtek, Bluebeam, or similar)

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
