Our Emergency Department (ED) has 20 patient beds and sees on average 120 people a day. There are Registered Nurses, RN Bys, Charge Nurses, Physicians, Physicians Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners on this cohesive multidisciplinary team. Our emergency medicine specialists are dedicated to providing comprehensive, leading‑edge emergency care to a diverse population.

Position Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our ED, you are responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room (ER) setting and for the following:

Provide quality care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with a minimum of supervision.

Triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system.

Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs and factors influencing patient flow.

Communicate with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology, and diagnostic studies.

Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

Hours:

7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Nights

Qualifications Educational Requirements:

Graduate of accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

License/Certifications:

Valid California Registered Nurse License.

BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

ACLS required.

PALS required.

16‑hour Pediatric Emergency Course (EDAP or ENPC) required within first year of employment.

TNCC preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year ED experience required.

Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.

Base Pay:

$52.45 – $81.30 per hour
