Qualifications
Associate’s Degree (ADN) or higher in nursing.
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
1+ year experience in mother‑baby, postpartum, or labor and delivery setting preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications from the American Heart Association.
Strong interpersonal skills focused on empathetic, patient‑ and family‑centered care.
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period, monitoring for complications.
Administer medications as prescribed and perform routine assessments of maternal and newborn vital signs.
Offer emotional support and education on infant care, breastfeeding, and self‑care, empowering mothers.
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other providers for coordinated care.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes per hospital policies.
